Issue #29 November 2017 About the image aboveThe image above was taken by Bob Slayers in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone N.P. Bob says “These are three young bull bison sparing in anticipation of the time one of them will be a alpha male.”If you have an image you would like to see in the header please let Lou know.Be aware of the wide format and be sure there is adequate space for the graphics. New format for the news letterAs you can see I have simplified the format of the newsletter. I have done this to save time and make it easier for members to use a standard program like MS Word or Open Office to create articles that can be copied and pasted directly into the program I use to create the website. This format should also make it easier to read the newsletter on a tablet or cellphone.Member rosterLora Newby has done a fantastic job keeping our membership database up to date! A big thanks to Lora for a job well done! You should have received the roster attachment with the notification email for this newsletter. Please be aware that the information contained inthe roster is to be used for club business only!
Featured articleUsing Photoshop’s Blending Modeby Lou Petkus - 82876In another website of mine I needed a header but could not find an image I felt would work the way I intended. The answer was to take two images and blend them together to achieve the desired result. If you use Photoshop you might want to try this blending method. The images I used are below and can be downloaded at their full size by using the following steps.1. Click on image2. Expand to full size by clicking the lower right corner, full size, icon.3. Right click on the image and choose “Save Image As…” My full Youtube tutorial of how to do the blending is below.
